Hales Brook and Sippican River is a 322  acres (1.3  km² ) large nature reserve near the town of Marion in the state of Massachusetts of the United States , which by the organization The Trustees of Reservations is managed.

Protected area

Established in 2014, the sanctuary runs 2.5  mi (4  km ) of hiking trails that guide visitors through pine and oak forests and various wetlands along the Hales Brook and Sippican Rivers . Raised wooden paths allow the view of towering rock formations (so-called outcrops ) up close. A right of way recently transferred to the Trustees allows the East Over Reservation to be linked to Hathaway Pond and the City of Rochester . This addition of 1 mi (1.6 km) of hiking trails to the Hales Brook and Sippican River Conservation Area is expected to be completed in 2014.
