Halfdan Cleve

Halfdan Cleve (born October 5, 1879 in Kongsberg , † April 6, 1951 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian composer.

He studied from 1895 in Kristiania with Otto Winter-Hjelm and from 1898 in Berlin with Philipp and Xaver Scharwenka and from 1909 lived as a pianist and music teacher in Oslo.

He composed five piano concertos, a violin sonata, works for choir and orchestra and numerous piano pieces.
