Halil Güveniş

Halil Güveniş (born November 15, 1950 in Istanbul ) is a German-speaking poet and essayist who lives and works in Istanbul.

Güvenis lived in Germany for over twenty years. From 1969 to 1977 he studied physics in Tübingen. Then he worked as a translator. In 1989 he returned to Turkey. Only then does his publishing activity as a writer in Germany begin.

In 2007 Güveniş presented “Essays and poems on the life story of Yunus Emre, Werther, Faust and Swedenborg” with Der Weg der Liebe . In 2008 he published A cheerful refrain on my lips , including poems that he had already written between 1983 and 1987. Solving the climate crisis in the context of the collapse crisis of capitalism appeared in 2011.
