The Halliste River ( Estonian Halliste jõgi , German Hallist, also called Kariste jõgi ) is an 86 km long river in southwest Estonia .
The Halliste river has its source in the Karksi-Halliste glacial valley , about 3.5 km from the town of Karksi-Nuia . It is a left tributary of the Navesti .
Its catchment area is around 1900 km². The river covers a gradient of 66 m.
