The Hamburg University [ˈhæmbɜ: gə juːniˌvɜːsitiː] is a training center of the McDonald's Corporation .

The training center was established in 1961 in a branch of McDonald's Corporation in Elk Grove Village , Illinois . Today it is located in Oak Brook , a suburb of Chicago ( USA ) on a 32 hectarecampus ”. The training center was built to train staff in the various areas of the fast food business. Each class accepts an average of 200 people, with a total of 5,000 students per year.

In addition to the main campus, there are 22 regional training teams in the USA, as well as international branches of the University of Hamburg in Sydney , Munich , London , Tokyo and Brazil . The newest location is Shanghai , which replaced Hong Kong in 2010 .

Chicago has been the main location of the organization since 2018 .
