Hamilton is a parish in Monroe County , Mississippi , United States . The village was the original county seat until Monroe County was divided when Lowndes County was founded in the south. The Conty Seat was then further north in Aberdeen .

Part of the school district of Monroe County are an elementary school, a library , a middle and high school, and two sports halls. There are opportunities for more activities outside of the school, but compared to other places in the US, these are less as the school is very small.
