Hamlar is a district of the Bavarian community Asbach-Bäumenheim in the Donau-Ries district .

geography

The village of Hamlar is about a kilometer northeast of Asbach-Bäumenheim. To the west the Egelseebach runs past the village. Bundesstrasse 16 runs south of the village . The Ingolstadt – Neuoffingen railway runs past the outskirts .

history

The area around Hamlar appeared to have been inhabited as early as the Early Bronze Age, as evidenced by the discovery of a grave. Hamlar was first mentioned in a document in 1200.

economy

The Grenzebach Group , an international company in the field of plant construction and automation technology, is based in the village .

Monuments

The only building entered in the list of monuments is the small St. Albanus Chapel near the center of the village.
