building

Red marble portal with door leaf from 1799

The main building of the listed building complex is a two-story gable roof construction on the edge of a small reservoir. The round arched red marble portal is from 1763, the door leaf with classical decor from 1799. The gable is marked with the year 1465. This includes the single-storey grinding shop with a gable roof and a small shed with wooden cladding.

All about the forge

The reservoir (mentioned in the document from 1516) prompted the millers who were lying on the adjoining stream to repeatedly raise objections and lawsuits. Due to the unequal condescension of water, the millers have a "very bad picture and therefore there is a bad infirmity and thus a bad beer".

Until a few years ago, the water flow was around 100 l / s. The rapid decline in the amount of water has not yet been clarified. The water flowing through feeds the subsequent Wöhrbach or Wöhrsee with fresh water.
