Hamund is a mythological figure from the Nordic saga , in this case from the Edda .

Not much is known about Hamund. He was a Wölsung , son of Sigmund and his first wife Borghild von Bralund (probably in Denmark ), a brother Helgis and a half-brother of Sinfiötli . He probably lived in Iceland by a fjord named after him ( Hamund Fjord ) and had a son named Halfred .
