Remarks

The Association of Viennese Merchants only very rarely organized its own balls. One of the few exceptions took place on January 31, 1855 in the Sperl. In addition to August Lanner (1835–1855), Johann Strauss also played there. He wrote and performed this quadrille especially for this ball. The title was fitting to the trading activities of the merchants.

The playing time on the CD listed under individual records is 4 minutes and 54 seconds. This time can vary somewhat depending on the conductor's musical conception.
