The name Handy serves as the private label of the retail chain Migros in Switzerland for the detergent it sells .

history

Handy was registered as a trademark on June 6, 1958 , although the origin of the name can no longer be determined. The design of the bottle has hardly changed over the decades of production since the late 1960s; the dishes shown have been reduced to a single glass, but the shape and color of the bottle have been retained. Production takes place in the Group's own Mifa AG in Frenkendorf and is subordinate to the current Mibelle Group of Migros.

For 2015, Migros said that over 3.5 million bottles had been sold, giving the product a market share of over 30 percent. In 2009 and 2013 there was even talk of almost four million or more than four million washing-up liquid bottles sold, which means number one for Switzerland. The bottles can be returned in the branches.

After the hand washing detergent, the machine detergent Handymatic was added, in which the original name was retained.

Trivia

The hot air balloon with the registration HB-QOH was built in 2015 in the form of the well-known cell phone bottle and is 35 meters high with a volume of 2600 cubic meters.
