Hang Thun Hak

Hang Thun Hak ( Khmer : ហង្ស ធុន ហាក់; born August 2, 1926 in Prek Kak, Stueng Trang District, Kampong Cham Province , Cambodia ; † April 17, 1975 in Phnom Penh , Cambodia) was a Cambodian politician of the Social Republican Party (គណបក្ស សង្គម សាធារណរដ្ឋ), who was Prime Minister of Cambodia between 1972 and 1973 .

Life

Hang Thun Hak was the rector of the Royal University of Fine Arts (សាកលវិទ្យាល័យ ភូមិន្ទ វិចិត្រសិល្បៈ). He was then Minister for Local Development from 1970 to 1972. In June 1972 he joined the Social Republican Party (គណបក្ស សង្គម សាធារណរដ្ឋ) founded by Lon Nol as a member. On October 15, 1972, he took over the post of Prime Minister from Son Ngoc Thanh himself and held this office until his replacement by In Tam on May 6, 1973.

He was killed when the Khmer Rouge captured Phnom Penh on April 17, 1975.
