Hannelore Paflik-Huber

Hannelore Paflik-Huber (born June 5, 1954 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German art scholar and curator .

Life

Hannelore Paflik-Huber studied mathematics, European art history, East Asian art history and ethnology at the Universities of Freiburg, Karlsruhe and Heidelberg. The doctorate took place on the topic of models of time. Artistic positions in contemporary art . From 1984 to 1986 she was an assistant in the exhibition project Time - The Fourth Dimension in Brussels, Geneva, Mannheim, Vienna, Lyon and London. In the 1990s she was a research assistant at the Städtische Kunsthalle Mannheim.

In 1986 Hannelore Paflik-Huber co-founded the journal FrauenKunstWwissenschaft , where she was co-editor until 1994. Paflik-Huber had lectureships in contemporary art, video art and aesthetics a. a. at the Hfg Karlsruhe, Universität Heidelberg, Jena, Weimar, FH Pforzheim and since 2001 at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart.

Her main research interests are analyzes of temporal aspects in contemporary art, methods of interpreting video art, gender studies, and current aesthetic issues. Press department and scientific communication in the Ursula-Blickle-Stiftung. She is the first chairwoman of the Künstlerhaus Stuttgart . Paflik-Huber is married to the art historian Hans Dieter Huber and has a daughter with him.
