Hannes Hager (born August 15, 1972 in Graz ) is an Austrian musician, author and actor.

Life

In 1993 Hager completed his training as a kindergarten teacher and after-school teacher . He was employed as a music teacher for the Brothers of Mercy in Kainbach near Graz.

The folk-rock band UR, which he founded in 1993, won the Styrian band competition shortly afterwards. The band's debut album was the first time in 1995 . UR combined the regional roots in the form of traditional Styrian / Austrian music and dialect language with the elements of current youth music. The band UR broke up in 2000.

From 2000 to 2004, Hager was mainly involved in theater projects and with various musicians and bands between 2000 and 2007.

In 2007 the solo album : herz was released under the musical supervision of Martin Moro and in collaboration with the filmmaker Markus Haslinger, who designed the DVD accompanying the album with a travel portrait of Hannes Hager.

After : herz followed a three-year career break. In the summer of 2010 Hannes Hager presented a new program under the title Lichtblicke . The pop single Family was released in 2011 . In 2014 Hannes Hager produced the album My Irish Heart . In 2015 the album The Fisherman followed .

In 2016 Hannes Hager opened the record label “Rooftop Records” in Graz
