Hannes Pichler is a former Italian natural track tobogganist and today's trainer.

Career

Pichler started at the 1989 European Natural Track Luge Championships in Garmisch-Partenkirchen together with Roland Niedermair in the two-seater and finished ninth. A year later he and his partner Andreas Jud won the gold medal in the two-seater at the Natural Track Luge World Championships in 1990 in Casies . For Pichler it was the only title and at the same time the only medal at world and European championships. At the 1991 natural track tobogganing European championship in Fiè allo Sciliar , he started in the individual and in fourth just barely missed a medal.

After the end of his active career, Pichler took over the position of trainer for the young Italian natural track tobogganers.
