Hanniball

Hanniball was the official mascot of the 2007 Handball World Cup in Germany.

It represents a croissant . The name is based on the Carthaginian general Hannibal from pre-Christian times. Based on the Carthaginian general, the name should symbolize attributes such as courage, boldness, determination and activity. The name also contains a play on words (Hanniball - "handball").

Hanniball was again selected as the official mascot for the 2017 Women's Handball World Championship .
