Hanno Dönneweg

Hanno Dönneweg (* 1977 ) is a German bassoonist.

Life

He received his first bassoon lessons at the age of nine from Horst Wartha, as well as chamber music lessons from Bernd Rimbrecht at the St. Georgen youth music school in the Black Forest .

From 1993 to 1996 he studied at the Baden Conservatory in Karlsruhe with Oscar Bohórquez , before he became a junior student at the Hochschule für Musik Köln / Aachen in 1996 .

After graduating from high school in 1997, he began studying with Sergio Azzolini at the Stuttgart University of Music . In 1998 he switched to Klaus Thunemann at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin . In April 2003 he completed his studies there with the grade very good. He attended master classes in Austria, Italy and Germany with János Mészáros, Helman Jung, Sergio Azzolini, Oscar Bohórquez and Klaus Thunemann.

Hanno Dönneweg was a member of the Federal Youth Orchestra and the Jeunesses Musicales World Orchestra between 1995 and 1998 . Since 1999 he has been a scholarship holder of the German Music Competition and a member of the federal selection of concerts for young artists .

Hanno Dönneweg was a scholarship holder of the Herbert von Karajan Foundation of the Berlin Philharmonic from 2001 to 2002 .

Hanno Dönneweg performed at the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Festival , the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival and the Ittingen Whitsun Concerts and made music with artists such as Jacques Zoon, Heinz Holliger , Radovan Vlatković , Leonidas Kavakos and Sabine Meyer . He gives concerts regularly with the Arsis Trio , together with the musicians Pirmin Grehl , flute and Matthias Alteheld , piano, as well as in a duo with the organist and harpsichordist Steffen Mark Schwarz . Hanno Dönneweg has played solo with the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra of the SWR , the Orquesta Sinfonica de la Ciudad de Asunción in Paraguay and the Arcata Chamber Orchestra Stuttgart under conductors such as Eiji Ōue , Sigiswald Kuijken , Luis Szarán, Johannes Moesus and Patrick Strub.

Since August 2002 Hanno Dönneweg has been principal bassoonist of the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra .
