The 1st Hannoversche Cheerleader Club (HCV) is a cheerleading club from Hannover . With 175 active cheerleaders, the HCV is one of the largest cheerleading clubs in Germany.

history

On July 22nd 2004 the 1st Hannoversche Cheerleader Association eV was founded. At that time there were about 100 members in the HCV, divided between the Diamonds, the Jewels and the Royals. In order to be able to guarantee participation in the cheerleading championships, the HCV joined today's American Football and Cheerleading Association (AFCVN).

In 2005, with the Hannover Knights and Black Poison from the Carl Friedrich Gauß School in Hemmingen , two teams joined the club for the first time, in which men also practice cheerleading. At the same time, the first partner stunts began to train together. At the state championships in Quakenbrück, the HCV won two first places.

In 2006 the Ice Crystals joined the HCV as a complete team. For the first time there were so many Peewees club that it was necessary to train a build-up team, the Pearls, alongside the Diamonds. At the state championships in Hildesheim, the Hannover Jewels were able to qualify for the German youth championship for the first time.

At the beginning of 2007, the second youth team, the Hannover Fairies, was also founded as a development team. The Jewels achieved a 5th place at the German Youth Championship in Hamburg. The Hanover Royals were runner-up in Lower Saxony and were able to qualify for a German championship for the first time in years.

In 2008 the Hannover Royals reached 8th place in the German alba berlin championship. The Hannover Jewels and the Hannover Cerezas become the Hannover Brilliants. In their first championship, the Jade Bay Cup, the Brilliants get 1st place. At the Lower Saxony championship, the Knights, Royals, Brilliants and the Groupstunt Royalicious took 2nd place in their categories. All four teams thus qualified for the German championships. The Spinell Dancers were closed due to a lack of demand.

In 2009 the Brilliants reached third place at the German Youth Championship and qualified for the European Championship in Sweden, where they achieved tenth place. The Royals finished fifth in the German Championship. In 2010 the Hannover Knights took 3rd place at the Lower Saxony Championship and the Elite Cheerleading Championship in Bottrop. At the Royals there was a change of coach, the two current coaches Jenny and Katharina take over the team, which was renamed "Sapphires".

In 2011 the Sapphires reached 5th place in the Lower Saxony championship and qualified again for the German championship. The Brilliants also qualified for the DM with a 4th place. At the 2011 DM, both teams achieved 13th place. Individual group stunts successfully took part in the Beach Cup, the European Open in Paris and the Elite Cheerleading Championships. The knights were disbanded. In November 2011, the first HCV show will take place in the sports hall on Eisteichweg in front of around 400 spectators.

In 2012 there were 23 starts at a wide variety of open and association championships. At Beach Cup there were two first places in the special categories. In Paris the youth and the seniors started and in Lemgo at the German Cheermasters the diamonds in different categories as well as a junior group stunt. The group stunt Spontaneous became German runner-up, took part in the European Championships in Italy and came in fifth. The Sapphire Dancers became Lower Saxony champions and German runners-up.

In 2013, the teams mainly started at open championships. Only Cheer Confusion as a group stunt started the state championship and became Lower Saxony champion. At the Spirit Challenge in Koblenz, the Diamonds and their new team of trainers take second place. The Sapphires started at the UCA / UDA International All Star Championship in Orlando / Florida and were the only starters in the international championship category.

In 2014, the Sapphires became Lower Saxony champions and grand champions of the championship, which was organized jointly with Hamburg and Bremen. The junior and senior group stunt came in first. Furthermore, four special categories started at the Eurocheermasters in Magdeburg and on the same day a coed group stunt at the Cheer Trophy in Wolfenbüttel. Both Diamonds, Brilliants and Sapphires competed at the Elite Cheerleading Championships in Bottrop, plus two group stunts, with Cheer Confusion taking first place.
