Peter Lehner

Peter Lehner (born November 23, 1922 in Thun ; † December 23, 1987 in Bern ) was an avant-garde Swiss poet .

Life

Peter Lehner studied German and Romance languages ​​in Bern and Lausanne , and in 1948 he received his doctorate for a higher teaching degree. He first worked as a journalist, then from 1953 as a secondary teacher in Bern. He liked to use avant-garde stylistic devices, for example from the field of concrete poetry . He called his short stories "tales". He is often referred to as a "word acrobat". In 1971 he was one of the co-founders of the Olten Group , and its president from 1974 to 1976.
