Life

Former Steeg Castle Chapel

Hanns Pfaffinger zu Steeg was knighted in 1322 (like his father Genifilor). Hanns Pfaffinger was the brother of Degenhart , who brought enormous wealth to the Pfäffinger family through his influence. The Pfäffinger family (also Pfaffinger or Pfeffinger) became one of the wealthiest families of the time. The Pfäffinger to Salman churches established in his lifetime the Duke Henry XVI., The rich of Bavaria-Landshut , four horses for military service. This is impressive evidence of the wealth and importance of the family at this time.

The influence of the family is also shown by the position of Hanns: Like his father Genefilor, he was a judge (judge) and representative in the Bavarian state parliament for the Neumarkt and Hengersberg court .

In 1449 knight Hanns Pfäffinger zum Steeg and hereditary marshal in Bavaria donated the first benefit in the Steeg Castle Chapel .
