Hannu Taina

Hannu Taina (born March 21, 1941 in Helsinki , Finland ) is a Finnish designer , graphic artist , illustrator and author .

Life

Taina studied from 1959 to 1962 at the Helsinki School of Art and Design at Aalto University in the capital of Finland. He has been known as a graphic artist and book illustrator since 1963, among other things for the works of the children's book author Elina Karjalainen and her character Uppo-nalle .

Prizes and awards

Since 1973 he has received national and international awards for his graphic work. This includes

  • 1976, 1986 and 1987: Rudolf Koivu Prize for Finnish graphic artist.
