Gina Ruck-Pauquèt

Gina Ruck-Pauquèt ( pseudonym : Katja Romin , born October 17, 1931 in Cologne , † August 28, 2018 in Wackersberg ) was a German writer .

Life

Gina Ruck-Pauquèt came from a family of dentists. Before completing secondary school , she dropped out of high school and trained as a dental assistant , then attended the factory school in Cologne and worked in a fashion salon for two years. After that she was u. a. Mannequin , advertising assistant, agent and court reporter. In 1958 she settled in Bad Tölz as a freelance writer .

Artistic creation

Gina Ruck-Pauquèt's work includes a large number of poetic children's and picture books . She has also written books for young people , poems , lyrics and works for radio and television. “Der kleine Igel” (with Marianne Richter) was recognized as one of the most beautiful German books in 1959. Furthermore, she was nominated for the shortlist of the German Youth Literature Prize. For her book Joschko she received the international “ Citta di Caorle ” prize and was named on the list of honor for the Hans Christian Andersen Prize and the Austrian State Prize .
