Sabine Wilharm

Sabine Wilharm (* 1954 in Hamburg ) is a German draftsman and illustrator of children's books.

Life

She studied illustration at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg . Since graduating in 1976 with Siegfried Oelke and Wilhelm M. Busch , she has been working as a freelance children's and youth book illustrator . She became known in particular for the book cover design of the German-language Harry Potter editions. In addition to book illustrations, she also produces caricatures and picture stories for magazines such as Der Spiegel and Stern . Between 1984 and 2009 she also took on teaching positions for illustration and free drawing at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg.

She is the godmother of the Hamburg children's book house in the Altona Museum .
