Dirk Walbrecker

Dirk Walbrecker (born July 3, 1944 in Wuppertal ) is a German author of children's and youth literature , screenwriter and radio play author .

Life

After studying German and pedagogy, he first worked in film. Walbrecker has been a freelance writer since 1986, and his works have now been translated into 15 languages. The focus of his work is the contemporary retelling of classic fabrics for children and young people. Walbrecker goes on reading tours in German-speaking countries, where he gives children and young people an insight into the writing workshop .

Walbrecker has lived in Munich since 1965 and is the father of three children.
