Daniel Napp

Daniel Napp (born June 19, 1974 in Nastätten , Rhineland-Palatinate ) is a German children's book author and illustrator .

Life

Daniel Napp studied design with a focus on illustration at the Münster University of Applied Sciences from 1996 to 2002 . Since 2006 he has been working in the atelier community Hafenstraße, Münster, and has been a lecturer in watercolor technology at the Münster University of Applied Sciences since 2015. So far, he has illustrated or published well over 100 books that have been published by Thienemann , Sauerländer , Oetinger , Carlsen , Beltz & Gelberg and Gerstenberg . At the beginning of the activity in the field of children's literature stood the children's book series Dr. Brumm, whose first book ( Dr. Brumm doesn't understand ) was his thesis. The Finnish author Sebastian Lybeck writes the text for the books by Igel Latte . He also became known for illustrating stories by the children's book author Otfried Preußler (e.g. The Little Aquarius ). Daniel Napp lives and works in Münster .
