Hans-Cord Graf von Bothmer (born December 13, 1936 in Lauenbrück ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Von Bothmer first attended elementary school in Lauenbrück and spent a year in a boarding school in Champüry (Switzerland). Von Bothmer finished his school education with the Abitur in Holzminden and then completed a degree in business administration in Hamburg . In 1964 he took over his parents' farm in Lauenbrück. In 1972 he became a member of the CDU.

He was a member of the supervisory board of the Stade Electricity Association and a member of the supervisory board of the overland plant in North Hanover. He later became President of the Association of Campsite Owners in Lower Saxony and Deputy Chairman of the Kreislandvolkverband. Von Bothmer was a member of the board of the Lüneburger Heide tourism association and a member of the administrative board of Sparkasse Scheeßel .

In 1968 he became councilor of the community of Lauenbrück. Since 1971 he has been a councilor and since 1974 mayor of the Fintel municipality. From 1972 he was a member of the district council and from 1973 to 1977 chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. Between 1977 and 1992 he worked as a district administrator and from 1992 deputy district administrator of the Rotenburg / Wümme district .

Von Bothmer became a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from June 21, 1990 to June 20, 1994 in the 12th electoral term .
