Hans-Ferdinand Angel

Hans-Ferdinand Angel (* 1955 in Ottobeuren ) is Professor of Religious Education at the University of Graz .

Life

From 1976 to 1981 he studied theology and Latin for teaching at grammar schools in Regensburg . In 1984 he passed the second state examination (permission to teach theology, Latin and history at grammar schools). After receiving his doctorate in 1988 on the subject of "Science and Technology in Religious Education", he founded EcclesiaData GmbH in 1988. After his habilitation in 1994 on the subject of “The religious man in times of disaster. Religious pedagogical perspectives of collective misery phenomena ”he became a representative of the professorship for religious pedagogy at the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz in 1997. From 2007 to 2013 he was a member of the editorial board "Encyclopedia of Sciences and Religion" (Springer Verlag). Angel has been the head of the Credition Research project since 2011.
