Hans-Günter "Sakko" Schröder (born September 18, 1943 ) is a former German football player .

During his career, Sakko Schröder played exclusively for FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt and its predecessor club Turbine Erfurt. He made his debut in the GDR league on November 12, 1961 in a 3-0 win at HFC Chemie . In total, he was active for the club for almost twenty years. He completed 260 league games in which he scored 45 goals. He also played 42 times in the second-rate GDR league , where he scored 15 goals and 32 appearances in the FDGB Cup, in which he scored four goals. He made eight appearances in the GDR's junior team, but it wasn't enough for him to play in the national team. At the end of his active career he was the captain of the Erfurt team in the junior league in 1979/80, which won the championship title that season under coach Siegmar Menz .

Since the end of his career in 1980, Sakko Schröder has been the good soul of the club as the team manager for the first men's team. He also worked under various coaches as the club's assistant coach. After Frank Engel left , he was also head coach for a short time from May 15, 1997 to June 30, 1997.

On December 10, 2016, a mascot was presented to him in his honor at FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt , "jacket".
