Hans-Günther Allers

Hans-Günther Allers (* 1935 in Hamburg ) is a German freelance composer .

Life

After his music teacher exams in Trossingen, Hans-Günther Allers studied piano and composition at the Hamburg University of Music with Hans Poser and Ernst Gernot Klussmann and Walter Girnatis .

His work includes compositions for piano, orchestra and chamber music in various formations. His compositions have received numerous awards, such as the 1987 “Honorable Mention” from the International Horn Society .

One of his best-known works is the “Trio Gutingi”, inspired by young Göttingen musicians, a three-movement composition that takes the original name of the city of Göttingen (Gutingi). Since its inception, the trio has received several awards, including 1st prize in the composition competition of the International Horn Society in 1984.
