Hans-Georg Gallenkamp

Hans-Georg Gallenkamp (born September 8, 1916 in Berlin ; † February 7, 2001 in Tecklenburg ) was a German entrepreneur.

Career

Gallenkamp came from a family of soldiers and served as an officer in the Wehrmacht . In 1943 he married into the Schoeller family and in 1945 joined the family-owned Osnabrück paper mill Felix Schoeller . From 1964 he was a member of the management. During this time, the company developed into the world's most important independent supplier of photo base papers. At the end of 1979 he changed as managing director to Schoeller Finanz KG and Schoeller Beteiligungen GmbH and became chairman of the advisory board of Felix Schoeller Holding GmbH & Co KG. In 1987 he retired from this position.

He was Vice President from 1970 and President of the Osnabrück-Emsland Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 1973 to 1990 . At the same time he was president of the working group of the five Euregio borderland chambers. He was honorary chairman of the Osnabrück-Emsland Industry Club, board member of the Association of German Paper Mills and a member of committees in the Federal Association of German Industry and the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft .

He was the consul of the Netherlands for the Osnabrück-Emsland district and deputy chairman of the German-Dutch Society .
