Hans-Gerd Winter
Hans-Gerd Winter (* 1939 in Breslau ) is a German specialist in German.
Life
He studied German, history, philosophy and education at the Universities of Innsbruck , Berlin and Hamburg. After receiving his doctorate in Hamburg in 1974 ( Dialogue and Enlightenment. Studies on Dialogue and Dialogue Novels in Germany in the 18th Century. With special reference to JJ Engels ) he taught there from 1977 to 2004 as a professor of modern German literary studies.
His focus is literature and culture of the 18th century, especially JMR Lenz , culture and literary history of Hamburg, German-language literature after 1945 and contemporary literature, the literary field ( Pierre Bourdieu ) and literary opera.
