Philipp Sigismund von Zernikau (* around 1650 , † after 1684 ) was canon in Münster .

Life

Philipp Sigismund von Zernikau came from a Mecklenburg noble family . He studied at the Collegium Germanicum in Rome and through the death of Canon Goswin Droste came into the possession of a cathedral priest in Münster . The Pope had given him the commission for this. On September 21, 1683, Pope Innocent XI approved. the assignment of the Hildesheim prebende by Canon Hermann von der Recke to Philipp Sigismund. However, he made no use of this.
