Hans-Heino Ewers

Hans-Heino Ewers (born May 31, 1949 in Peckelsheim ) is a German specialist in German.

In 1967 he began to study German, philosophy and political science at the universities of Cologne, Bonn and Frankfurt / Main. After graduating with a Magister Artium in Frankfurt in 1973, he received his doctorate there in 1976.

From 1978 to 1984 he was a research assistant at Theodor Brüggemann's chair , where he worked on his project on the history of children's and youth literature in the late 18th century.

In 1984 he was one of the founders of the “Working Group for Child and Youth Literature Research ” (today: Society for Child and Youth Literature Research , GKJF ) and moved to the chair of Kurt Wölfel at the University of Bonn , where he completed his habilitation in 1985 . In 1988 he was appointed senior assistant and in 1989 he accepted a professorship for German literature at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University . Since 2015 he has held a senior professorship in the field of education there.
