Kurt Wölfel

Kurt Wölfel (born May 22, 1927 in Würzburg ) is a German specialist in German .

Life

On February 10, 1951 , Wölfel received his doctorate as Dr. phil. at the University of Würzburg . There he took on a teaching position as a private lecturer in 1963. After his rehabilitation at the University of Göttingen in 1963, he became a full professor in Erlangen in 1964 and in Bonn in 1982. In 1992 he retired .

One focus of Wölfel's scientific work is poetry theory and poetry of the 18th century. In particular, he dealt with the German writer Jean Paul . From 1966 to 1997 he was chairman of the Jean Paul Society in Bayreuth .
