Hans-Jörg Krause

Hans-Jörg Krause (born January 28, 1954 in Packebusch ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ).

Life and work

Hans-Jörg Krause finished the polytechnic high school in 1972 and the extended high school in 1973 as an agricultural engineer with a high school diploma. This was followed by a degree in agricultural engineering until 1979 . From 1980 to 1982 he took over the management of the department for agriculture and food industry at the council of the Salzwedel district and from 1982 until reunification in 1990 he was in charge of the specialist body for agriculture and food industry.

He is married and has three children.

Political party

Before joining the PDS, Krause had been a member of the SED since 1973 . Within his party he is a member of the district board of the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel and also a member of the district council of the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel.

MP

Since 1990 ( 1st electoral period ) he has been a member of the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt for his party . Krause was elected to the state parliament via the state list . He sat for his group on the Finance Committee and the Petitions Committee. Since 2006 (5th electoral term) he has been chairman of the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forestry, of which he has been a simple member since the 1st electoral term.
