Hans-Jörg Schmerer

Hans-Jörg Schmerer (* in Nuremberg ) is a German economist .

Life

From 2001 to 2007 he studied international economics at the University of Tübingen (2003-2004 visiting student at the University of Nanjing , 2007-2008 visiting researcher at the University of Nottingham ). After completing his doctorate (2007–2012) (reviewers: Wilhelm Kohler and Udo Kreickemeier ) in the field of economics in Tübingen, he was professor (W3) at the University of Passau , chair for “International Economics” from 2013 to 2014 . From 2006 to 2008 he was a student assistant at the University of Tübingen. From 2008 to 2010 he was a research assistant at the University of Hohenheim , Chair of "International Economics". From 2011 to 2015 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Employment Research "International Comparisons and European Integration". From 2014 to 2015 he was professor (W3) at the University of Duisburg-Essen , Chair of East Asian Economics, Chair of "East Asian Economic Studies". In 2014 he accepted a position in economics, especially international economics, at the FernUniversität in Hagen .
