Hans-Jürgen Pohlenz

Hans-Jürgen Pohlenz (born January 25, 1927 in Frankfurt (Oder) ) is a German veterinarian and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending high school, Pohlenz was drafted into the Wehrmacht and participated in World War II as a soldier from January to April 1945 . He then began studying veterinary medicine, which he awarded the degree of Dr. med. vet. finished. He had been a practical veterinarian since 1951 and then worked as a slaughterhouse veterinarian. Since 1958 he was a district veterinarian and an official veterinarian.

Political party

Pohlenz has been a member of the SPD since 1956.

MP

As a replacement for Gerhard Koch , Pohlenz was a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament from November 13, 1961 until the end of the 1962 electoral term . He was a member of the German Bundestag from September 30, 1963, when he replaced the late MP Walter Menzel , until his resignation on June 10, 1965. He was drawn into parliament via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia .
