Joachim Graswurm

Hans-Joachim Graswurm (born September 20, 1934 in Berlin ; † May 9, 1986 ibid) was a German jazz musician (trumpet, flugelhorn, arrangements, composition).

Live and act

Graswurm formed his own groups during his time at the East Berlin Conservatory. Between 1960 and 1962 he played in Jürgen Fromm's combo. Then he switched to the Berlin Radio Dance Orchestra , directed by Günter Gollasch . He also played in the Modern Blues Sextet and the Berlin-Leipzig Combo , in the radio jazz ensemble Studio IV , with the rock jazz group SOK , with Hans Rempel , in Hubert Katzenbeier's tentet , the Allstar Band '73 , as a guest soloist in Modern Soul Band and with Klaus Lenz , in the sextet of Günther Fischer , the Dixieland All-Stars Berlin , as a companion to Uschi Brüning and in Wolfgang Fiedler's band Fusion . In the 1980s he also worked as a lecturer at the “Hanns Eisler” University of Music in Berlin .

Graswurm was married to the singer Claudia Graswurm.
