Hans Joachim Herwald

Hans-Joachim Herwald (* 1944 in Gronau , Westphalia ) is a German radio play producer and sound engineer.

life and career

Herwald completed an apprenticeship as well as a degree. He worked u. a. with Udo Lindenberg and Otto Waalkes . This was followed by his own radio play productions, in which Hans-Joachim Herwald also worked as a producer. In the meantime he has been working as a radio play producer for over 30 years. a. for radio plays such as Alf , The Lion King , productions based on novels by Edgar Wallace and Pippi Longstocking .

The trained sound engineer initially worked in Cologne . He then headed a recording studio in Hamburg , where he recorded music and radio plays, initially under Peter Folken and Konrad Halver . In the 1970s he went into business for himself as a radio play producer and was responsible for numerous more or less successful productions.

Herwald occasionally appears as a speaker in productions; an early appearance in this regard was made for Uncle Bill. Bill Ramsey sings many new songs and tells funny stories (1976). Here he took on the role of sound engineer, in which he was also involved in the production itself.
