Konrad Halver
Konrad Halver (born April 27, 1944 in Salzwedel ; † November 30, 2012 ) was a German actor , radio play producer and speaker. He ran the Graceland studios in Hamburg .
Life
Halver was born in Salzwedel in 1944 as the son of the Lutheran pastor Rudolf Halver (1912-2004) and his wife Ilsabe Halver-von Sauberzweig. Konrad Halver grew up first in Husby , then in Hamburg-Blankenese .
In the 1960s he directed the program for the radio play label Europa , including the Winnetou series, in which he played the leading role, as well as the first radio play version of Dracula , with Charles Regnier in the title role, and also the radio play Bambi , in which he could be heard as an adult Bambi.
In 1972 Halver switched from the European label to the BASF label PEG , where he reissued the successful Winnetou radio plays together with Peter Folken , but was also responsible for numerous new productions - for example with Verkehrskasper , spoken by Heinz Krause , as well the children's radio play Maxifant and Minifant with Rudolf Fischer and Wolfgang Buresch as speakers.
With the radio play boom that began again in early 2000, Konrad Halver continued to work both as a director and as a speaker. In 2002 he celebrated a Karl May comeback in the radio play production “Christmas!” By Meike Anders and Karl-Heinz Geisendorf after more than 20 years, followed in 2003 by the first part of the trilogy Satan and Ischariot . Halver worked with actors and speakers such as Peer Augustinski , Chris Howland and Karl May open-air stage actors .
His audio book Der Kutb (an oriental story by Karl May ) was published almost entirely on his own in 2005. A successful multi-part project in the last few years before his death was Kommissar Dobranski , a radio play series with local Hamburg flavor. 12 episodes had appeared before his death. In 2007 and 2010 he showed further facets of his abilities by a. also produced and read audio books with spiritual-philosophical and fictional content.
Konrad Halver died on November 30th, 2012 of cancer .
