Hans-Joachim Tessner

Hans-Joachim Tessner (born March 6, 1944 ) is the owner of the furniture discounter Roller and the Tessner Group.

After graduating from secondary school in Goslar , Tessner became an apprentice at the family's furniture store Möbel Unger at the urging of his parents . In 1972 Tessner became the sole owner of Möbel Unger. In 1996 he integrated the Möbel Unger company into the Metro group and thereby became head of the furniture division of the Metro group. Tessner lives in Goslar and has been married to his wife Helga for over 40 years. In 2009 he became an honorary citizen of the city of Goslar. In 1994 he donated the Goslar History Prize. He has two daughters.

Tessner Group

Hans-Joachim Tessner is the owner of the Tessner Group, which also includes tejo Wohnwelten in Blankenburg, Peine and Adendorf (near Lüneburg), tejo's SB Lagerkauf with over 20 locations in Northern Germany and Möbel Schulenburg in Goslar, Halstenbek (near Hamburg) and Flensburg and Möbel Klingenberg in Bremen belong. The Tes Com Properties mainly manages properties in Goslar. This also includes MEDA Gute Kitchens with 23 specialist markets, especially in North Rhine-Westphalia. In February 2014, the Tessner Group also took over the Sachsenwald furniture park , which also includes the furniture discounter Speed based in Wentorf (near Hamburg). The Tessner Group's turnover in 2013 was 1,375 million euros.
