MEDA Küchenfachmarkt GmbH & Co. KG is a company of the Tessner Group with 23 branches (as of September 2019) in five federal states ( North Rhine-Westphalia , Rhineland-Palatinate , Hesse , Bavaria and Berlin ). MEDA Kitchens is the kitchen specialist with the most branches in Germany .

history

The company was founded in 1997 by Guido Melcher and Michael Dahmen. In 1998 the first branch opened in Würselen , followed by stores in Essen and Mülheim-Kärlich . In 2016/2017/2018, new locations were added in Alfter near Bonn , Bochum and Frankfurt am Main , Darmstadt and Berlin, and MEDA moved from Heuchelheim to Gießen and expanded by moving within Gelsenkirchen . The MEDA kitchen specialty stores have sales areas of up to 6000 square meters each. The exhibitions include between 100 and 160 ready-to-live-in kitchens, which are grouped into different living spaces. In addition, regional peculiarities or landmarks are taken up in the design of the sales rooms, which signal the connection to the location (for example FC-Schalke-04-kitchen in Gelsenkirchen, Ludwig-van-Beethoven-kitchen in Alfter).
