Hans-Johann Glock
Hans-Johann Glock (born February 12, 1960 in Freudenstadt ) is professor of theoretical philosophy at the University of Zurich .
Glock studied philosophy, German literature and mathematics in Tübingen , Oxford and at the Free University of Berlin and was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD. After research stays and activities as a lecturer in Oxford and at the University of Reading , he was appointed to the University of Zurich in 2006, where he holds the Chair of Theoretical Philosophy II. He is also a visiting professor at Reading University.
His research interests lie in the areas of philosophy of language , philosophy of mind, and analytical philosophy . Glock is particularly concerned with terms and examines the question of whether animals can think. In addition, Glock is known as an expert on Ludwig Wittgenstein's philosophy .
