Hans-Peter Kirchhof
Hans-Peter Kirchhof (born August 28, 1938 in Calcutta ) was a judge at the Federal Court of Justice from 1989 to 2003 .
In 1967 Kirchhof joined the judicial service of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia , since 1970 as a district judge at the district court of Wuppertal . In 1975 he was appointed judge at the Düsseldorf Higher Regional Court . In 1989 Kirchhof was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice and belonged to the IX. Civil Senate , since May 2002 as its deputy chairman. On August 31, 2003, Kirchhof retired.
