Hans-Ulrich Everts (born November 15, 1937 in Remscheid ; † March 20, 2017 in Hanover ) was a German physicist and professor of theoretical physics at the University of Hanover .

He did his doctorate in 1966 at the University of Cologne under Bernhard Mühlschlegel and at the end of 1972 he accepted a chair at the University of Hanover .

The main focus of his scientific work was theoretical solid state physics . In particular, his work on two-dimensional magnetic systems on the trihexagonal Kagome lattice received a lot of attention from international experts.
