Hans-Wilhelm Scheidt

Hans-Wilhelm Scheidt (born November 24, 1907 in Moscow ; † unknown) was a German National Socialist who was active in various offices in the field of National Socialist foreign policy. By supporting and directing the Norwegian collaboration , he played a key role in the preparation and implementation of the invasion of Norway .

Life

In 1930 Scheidt joined the NSDAP . In 1933 he joined the Foreign Policy Office of the NSDAP (APA) as Reichsamtsleiter , headed by the Nazi chief ideologist Alfred Rosenberg . Later he was appointed head of the Reich Main Office at the APA and headed the APA “North” department. From 1934 to 1938 Scheidt wrote a number of propaganda pamphlets for the Reich Labor Service .

In his function as head of department in Berlin-Wilmersdorf , Weimarien Strasse 8, he ran for the NSDAP on list position no. 753 in the Reichstag election on March 29, 1936, but received no mandate.

In 1939/40, Scheidt was the liaison between the APA director Rosenberg and the Norwegian collaborator Vidkun Quisling, and in 1940 he stayed in the country on a special assignment from Adolf Hitler before and during the invasion of Norway. His main contact on the Norwegian side was Albert Viljam Hagelin from summer 1939 .

1940-42 Scheidt was the head of administration of the high school of the NSDAP . He then went to the Reich Ministry for the Occupied Eastern Territories (RMfdBO), which was also headed by Rosenberg. In the RMfdbO Scheidt was in the main department I (politics) as department head for the department I.6. Culture responsible.

Scheidt's writings The Shame Contracts (1934), The Labor Service, an Expression of Will of the German Youth (1935) and the Aryan-Germanic Proverbs and Education Wisdom (1938) written together with Jakob Szliska were placed on the list of literature to be sorted out in the Soviet occupation zone .
