Hans Baron (singer)

Hans Baron (born June 3, 1880 in Berlin , † 1971 ) was a German opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

Baron was tenor at the Opera House in Wroclaw to the dismissal of Jewish artist by the Nazis . He then brought his family with singing lessons when synagogues - Chasan and cemetery singer through. He was married and had a daughter from the marriage. The Baron family fled from Breslau to Augsburg after the war . Hans Baron continued to support the family there by opening a milk bar. In 1971 he died at the age of 91 in Augsburg. Baron sang in Breslau a. a. the role of the mime in Richard Wagner's Ring and that of the helmsman in the Flying Dutchman .
