Hans Brockmann (actor)

Hans Brockmann (before 1900 - February 16, 1982 ) was a German film and theater actor .

Life

In 1920 he was engaged at Max Reinhardt's Deutsches Theater in Berlin, where he took part in Gogol's The Players . In 1921 he played the good fellows in Jedermann at the Salzburg Festival . In 1922 he was Lucentio in The Taming of the Shrew in the Great Theater in Berlin. One stage role in Shakespeare's As You Like It and five roles in silent films are guaranteed . He was later director and artistic director of the stages in Kiel and Frankfurt (Oder). There he discovered and promoted Ernst Busch and Hans Söhnker, among others. After the war he was engaged at the Dresden State Theater and went from there to West Germany, where he worked on various stages. He died on February 16, 1982 in Hamburg.
