Hans Christian Röhl

Hans Christian Röhl (* 1964 in Kiel ) is a German lawyer and professor at the University of Konstanz .

Life

Röhl studied mechanical engineering and law at the universities of Munich , Heidelberg and Bonn . Since 1985 he has been a member of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg . In 1989 Röhl passed his first state examination in law in Heidelberg, followed by the second in 1994. A year earlier, in 1993, he did his doctorate in Heidelberg under Eberhard Schmidt-Aßmann as Dr. jur. After his second exam, Röhl Schmidt-Aßmann's assistant at the Heidelberg Institute for German and European Administrative Law. In 2002 Röhl completed his habilitation in Heidelberg with the writing Administration by Contract and received the venia legendi for the subjects constitutional and administrative law, European law and comparative law.

Röhl had already represented a chair at the University of Gießen for a year, and then he was deputy chair at the universities of Freiburg and Konstanz. Since 2004 he has held the full chair for constitutional and administrative law, European law and comparative law at the University of Konstanz. From 2006 to 2009 Röhl was dean of the law, economics and administrative science section of the University of Konstanz.
