Klaus F. Röhl

Klaus Friedrich Röhl (born May 22, 1938 in Töstrup ) is a German lawyer and former professor at the Ruhr University in Bochum .

Life

After studying sociology , history and law at the universities of Heidelberg , Frankfurt am Main and Kiel, Klaus F. Röhl passed his first state examination in law in 1960. Since 1957 he has been a member of the Corps Suevia Heidelberg . After his second state examination in 1964, Röhl worked as a court assessor , later as a district judge at the district court of Kiel . In 1969 he was in Kiel at Hellmuth Mayer Dr. iur. PhD . In 1972 he completed his habilitation , with which he was awarded the venia legendi for the subjects civil law , civil procedural law , legal sociology and legal philosophy .

After completing his habilitation, Klaus F. Röhl initially worked as a judge at the Schleswig Higher Regional Court . From 1973 to 1974 he worked as head of the syndic of the Brandkasse-Provinzial in Kiel . From 1975 until his retirement in 2003, Röhl held the chair for legal sociology and legal philosophy at the University of Bochum . In 1989 he was a visiting professor at Saint Louis University .
